If you forgot laundry detergent, don’t worry. Laundromats usually sell detergent in vending machines.

Pick an empty washer, load your clothes, load the detergent, make your cycle selections like temperature, put in your coins, and press the start button. You wait about an hour or 90 minutes until your clothes are done. Many people leave the laundromat at this time, which is why there may be clothes left in washers and driers.

You then take your wet clothes and place them in an empty dryer. The dryers are usually stacked on top of each other. If so, there may be an arrow next to a coin slot indicating if the coins are for the top dryer or bottom dryer. Place the coins in and press start. Expect to run the dryer at least two times.
